Nuvei payment system, focused on gaming industry, has once again strengthened its positions with a new payment offering. This time, update is for regulated gambling market in the UK. Nuvei has launched an omnichannel product that includes payment processing, player behavior analytics, and reporting, which together provide comprehensive payment management and understanding of all its aspects.
Thus, there is no need to integrate several other tools, for example, for analytics or payment orchestration. It should be said that many payment systems, especially those operating in gaming industry, does not concentrate on strong reporting and analytical capabilities. Because of this, merchants have to operate data in different services and literally build reporting from scratch. This is why Nuvei's offering sounds very competitive, and one of the major British operators, Buzz Bingo, has already integrated the service.
Omnichannel is one of the trends of 2025, and this development only confirm the prediction.

Europe at this time is paying particular attention to financial control, starting with Lithuania. From this year on, Lithuanian government requires all financial institutions (both banks and payment systems) to block transactions in favor of illegal gambling.
Over the past years, nearly 2,000 illegal gambling sites have been blocked in the country, which has not gone unnoticed by the regulator. Now all legal companies in Lithuania will be included in the "white list" of financial institutions, and the rest will automatically fall into the black list. Thus, authors of the law expect to reduce illegal transactions to zero point and completely clean up the market from gray operations.
Penalties for non-compliance with the new rules range from 1,800 to 3,800 euros, and direct control over banks is also introduced.
